ANDREW WALTON

Psychologist Andrew has been involved with beauty pageants since his late twenties

when he was partner of Coventry model Martyne McCormick. Throughout the 1980's he was married to model and Miss Birmingham runner-up Jackie Ormesher with whom he has two children. "She got the best prize that night, even if she came second." he says. In the late 1990's he was asked to judge Miss Coventry and Miss Warwickshire in the Miss England competition where he met organiser Julie-Ann Coley and current Miss Rugby co-organiser, Diane Slater. He must have done something right because he was asked to join the Celebrity Judges at the final of Miss England at the Cafe Royal in London for the Millennium event and still keeps a letter of congratulations from the late Eric Morley (of Miss World fame) for his efforts. Since then, he has been an occasional judge at heats around the midlands, before joining up with Diane to help organise the past three Miss Rugby competitions for Miss England and their new National Organiser Angie Beasley.

He says; "I've always been able to spot the best looking girl in the house. But the most beautiful are the ones you can talk to....."
